2007 Mettler "Epicenter" Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel Tasting Notes

High neck fill. Deep purple in glass - virtually opaque. Lovely, promising nose. Incredible depth of fruit on palate with hints of oak. Thick chocolatey fruit on palate. No heat despite 15.6% alcohol. No overripe or sweet fruit evident. A muscular, broad shouldered Zin. Can hold for 4 or 5 years at least. Enormous! 93/100.

1999 Peter Lehman Clancy's Tasting Notes

Still has original $29.99 price tag. Mid neck fill. Cork broke during extraction. A modest 13% alcohol. Deep garnet color with mahogany evident. On palate, slightly sweetish Shiraz fruit up front followed by dusty tannins. Fading fruit. Particles of sediment in empty bottle and final glass. Drink up! 87/100.

1998 Peter Lehman Clancy's Tasting Notes

Mid neck fill. Cork disentegrated during extraction. Deep ruby color in glass with obvious browning. Soft fruit on palate with dusty tannins. Shiraz evident up front and hints of tobacco in finish.  Alcohol (14%) does not intrude. Fading slowly but still nice. Patches of sediment in bottle and in the final glass. Drink up! 87/100.

2007 Pride Viognier Tasting Notes

Deep gold color in glass. Lovely honeyed tropical fruit on palate. Good acidity. The key is there is just enough acidity to support the decadent tropical fruit. Really nice but needs to be drunk soon. 89/100.

2000 Chateau Senejac Tasting Notes

From a case of magnums purchased as futures for $28.00 per mag.. Mid neck fill. Cork broke in half upon extraction. Browning evident in the glass. Fading and losing fruit on palate. Dusty tannins. A trace of sediment. On its way out. Drink up! 84/100.

1997 Silverado Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot Tasting Notes

Low neck fill. Cork in good shape. 13.8% alcohol. Dark garnet color with obvious bricking. Fruit drying out on palate with dusty tannins. Several years past peak. Not too much else to say. Sediment in last glass. A faded flower. 82/100.

1997 Chateau Reynella Shiraz Basket Pressed Tasting Notes

Low neck fill but cork extracted cleanly. Opaque purple/black in glass with thin cherry rim. Lovely, expansive bouquet. Good fruit on palate with drying tannins. No gratuitous sweetness or heat (13.5% alcohol). Probaly 3 or 4 years past its peak but drinking nicely. Lots of sludge inside bottle. Drink up! 89/100.
